"Pearl Snake"

Actually a California Legless lizard (Anniella pulchra pulchra), it like burrowing in the loose sandy soil of my backyard.
This was one of the first pictures I took to show to people who might identify the thing. When I first found these guys I thought I would have to start a snake page, but since they are lizards I was saved all that effort.
